Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, wrestling and boxing before her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd felt more confident following the win and fought 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all in the 1st round. She then went back to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was able to hand Aspen the win in a single-handed manner and outclassed her to tarnish Ladd's professional career. Ladd took her bout against Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta Fighter Championships 16. She took the next match in the fight against Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission by armbar. Aspen's dazzling wrestling ability defeated McGill, and she managed to finish her in the third round with a TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy with a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd didn't make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the 2nd round via TKO. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her last fight for the company. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks with a majority decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She was a step ahead of Lina with the ground and pound strategy and earned a TKO 2nd round win. Her dominance grew and she won a much more convincing victory during her next fight against Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. She also received the bonus for performance of night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee match with Eubanks' Sijara was the first match she's ever had in any significant capacity. The two fights were a close fight that Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. The two fighters each received their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight, breaking her streak to win. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. In a match that was a replacement in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The decision was made unanimously in her favor.
